ugg.

The amber tones, the crackling sounds of falling leaves, the smell and sounds of dessicated foliage (kind of like cereal). Enough to finally get me to acknowledge that summer is indeed over. And to be kinda happy about it.

But today I heard the word "snow" followed by "in the north." Startled me out of my autumnal acquiescence and right into panic mode. And later, tramping across campus--there it was--the portent of winter--half the undergraduate body in ugg boots!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First Post!

Oy vay, here's the much-threatened blog. I'm calling it Roco's Rock for a few reasons:
1)it was the first title that sprang to mind w/ alliteration that didn't suck
2)I'm still fond of my Roco nickname from the days of livin in ole Nati! Miss it--especially my peeps!
3)it kind of makes me sound cool
4)I'll always be in b/w a rock and a hard place when writing entries--speaking of--gotta go feed the babe (yeah, we are still doing that :)!
